Here is another little guy who had a really rough first year!! This particular party was at my house since this little guy is a close part of my family.
From the moment his parents knew he was coming they also knew his first birthday would be Classic Pooh!! It was simply darling and so fun to put together. Someone even said it looked professional!! Imagine that. Hahahaha!!
I used blue and yellow gingham runners on white linen for the tables. The centerpieces were tulips in turquoise Mason jars on cut wood slabs. I had little Pooh cards next to the flowers. The paper Pooh cards were from Pretty Paper Cottage (Etsy).
For the food we had a taco lady and was it delicious!! You will always impress your guests whenever you have a good food truck or taco person cooking right there on the spot!!
We didn't have party favors, but we had a birdhouse painting station for the kids. A little note on that, unless it's specifically a paint party I don't suggest bringing in the paints! We had a few mishaps and I felt pretty bad. Lessons learned. But, the kids had fun anyway. We also had amateur, but talented family, face painters.
We had a dessert table with a blue ombre smash cake and cupcakes for the guests. The cupcakes had cute little Classic Pooh tags made by Pretty Paper Cottage. The smash cake had an adorable banner made by Hartranftdesign (Etsy) and they also made the birthday crown and high chair banner. Can you tell I LOVE Etsy! My Go-To party place!!
We had a Candy Station with fun themed candy to represent the story characters. On the table was a fun map of 100 Acre Wood. The candy was from Oh Nuts!.
The guests signed a different page from a vintage Classic Pooh cookbook that was gifted to the little guy. It was a beautiful day and just happened to be the very last party of my parties in 2020…waaay back in January!
