Angels, Amazing food, an awe-inspiring view, and a nightclub style reception.

Casual, elegant, and full of expectations for a great guest experience. This couple had a beautiful ceremony with their family and closest friends at home. Photographed by the very talented Nicole Caldwell. The couple wanted photojournalistic photography.

Due to privacy this is at an undisclosed location and the photos are strictly set up shots.

11/11, which also happens to be my Angel Numbers, was the day of Angels and the bride wanted to incorporate blessings and spiritual cleansing for her guests. The ceremony backdrop was a round gold arch with ostrich feathers in the design.. The feathers represented angel wings. There were scented cleansing candles placed in the ceremony altar area, as well as on the guest tables and throughout the guest lounge spaces.

Selenite which is also used for cleansing was placed in strategic locations. The bride gave me direction for placement since that is her expertise. There were plenty of candles throughout the dinner reception area. In order to have plenty of light, the bride requested to have beautiful chandeliers brought in. The florist, Hello Pretty Flowers, did and amazing job covering them in pampas and roses. The table centepieces were also pampas and rose arrangements. The bride had favors of sage bundles and personalized match boxes for everyone that arrived. She also wanted to incorporate the moon. We used crescent moon table numbers and the bride wore a sheer cape with gold crescent moons and stars.

The food was a very important factor and I knew exactly who to call. 24 Carrots Catering was absolutely amazing and did not disappoint. The guests raved about how delicious the meal was. Of course, I knew I had to make sure they were impressed and they were. Signature Party Rental and Yenniโ€™s Party Rentals were the two rental companies. Lady Folk Studios was set up to draw illustrations of the guests. Everyone loved her work!

Carlos and his assistant Jordan, of Platinum DJ Pros were on point! I also knew I needed a really great DJ. This couple wanted a low key reception with an amazing bar and nightclub style dance music. The bartender was serving up jalapeno margaritas, the DJ had lights, bubble blasters, smog, and a great set of songs. The guest surprise was an actual fire dancer. She had rings of fire and fire sticks. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of her, but I highly recommend having a fire dancer for your outdoor reception if you really want to wow your guests.

My Badass Wedding Moment: I had 6 weeks to do full planning and I had a very specific budget to respectfully work with. That means I had ONLY 6 weeks to find all of the right vendors, figure out the layout, help my clients make planning decisions, and get some decor items.

Luckily everyone who I thought would be a good fit were actually available. BUT, 3 weeks into planning I had to switch out two vendors and one of those was the catering company. 24 Carrots was not on the table until I was told the original choice catering compay the family chose was not going to work out. I had to think fast and I am beyond grateful that it all worked out.
